Daune Cardenas is the Chief Executive Officer for Pascua Yaqui Development Corporation (PYCD). Cardenas is an enrolled Pascua Yaqui Tribal Member. As PYDC CEO, she is committed to employing community members and bringing hope for a brighter future by helping create industries where their people can flourish.
She has worked for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and its casino for over a decade and owned several small businesses over the years. Thanks to the support of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe she earned my Juris Doctor degree (law) and Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Her dedication to the collective goal of PYDC and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe comes from her gratitude to her Tribe and my determination to help make a positive and lasting effect on their Tribal economy.
